This year marks the 26th annual ‘University of Alberta’s Law Show‘ and their theme this year is “Scooby-Doo: Long Paw of the Law“.

Law Show is a University of Alberta, Faculty of Law student group that produces an annual theatrical production with the goal of giving back to the Edmonton community.

Each year, Law Show raises and donates all proceeds from our show to a local non-profit organization.

This is the first of their three-year partnership with the Terra Centre, an organization founded in 1971, that is committed to providing support services and programs for teenage parents and their babies in Edmonton. Today, the Terra Centre supports over 1,000 moms, dads, and children each year, and has 65 employees located at three different sites.

In this entirely student-driven theatrical production, over 150 law students volunteer their time and efforts to rehearse, prepare, and showcase a theatrical interpretation of a classic story. Ordinarily, Law Show is a two-night theatrical production held at the Myer Horowitz Theatre. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the students in Law Show have been working extremely hard to re-invent the delivery method of their show.

This year they have pivoted to being an entirely virtual show with performers filming themselves at home. Pre-sale tickets on sale now!

They will also be hosting a silent auction from Feb 22 – Feb 28!
