Biking is eco-friendly, but now this path makes it even more so!

This luminous brilliant blue cycling strip, which can be found near Lidzbark Warminski in the north of Poland, is made from a synthetic material that can emit light for up to ten hours!  The path is charged by the sun throughout the day, and gives off its’ signature cobalt hue at night.

The concept was inspired by a bike lane in the Netherlands, but is different because the Dutch use LEDs, whereas this one relies entirely upon solar power. It’s still in the testing phase at the moment, hopefully it will come to fruition, maybe even some day in Canada!

Guess you could call this a… Bright idea 😉
