Animal Collective Play Secret Show In Edmonton

This is very cool. Last Friday Animal Collective were in Edmonton for a show at Union Hall. Turns out some people bought tickets without knowing its an 18+ venue. When the band heard that there were minors who wouldnt get a chance to see the show….they tried to change venues so everyone could enjoy. When that didnt work, they got people with kids to get in touch. Animal Collective then played a secret set just for them during their soundcheck! Very cool move!

Bummed to say we just found out from the venue in Edmonton that they’re unable to get a permit to allow kids under 18 into Fri’s show.

A couple people did get in touch! Something they’ll probably never forget!

Just finished private set for the underage kids. Audience of two. Thanks to Cameron and Savanna for showing up and to Union Hall for letting us try and make up for the mixup!
