Edmonton Mural Festival

SONiC 102.9 is stoked to be a part of the Edmonton Mural Festival.  The annual festival celebrates and recognizes Edmonton’s arts and mural culture from August 15th to September 15th.  However, the festival creates and supports mural projects year-round.

The festival will showcase the works of local artists and international artists, creating a dynamic mix of styles and cultures that reflect Edmonton’s diverse community.  The festival will also feature public events and activities, including live music, comedy shows, and art auctions.

The festival’s vision is to connect Edmonton and Alberta to the international mural community while uplifting local artists to ensure that our city and province have a distinctive and authentic voice on the international mural stage. The festival works to achieve this vision through collaboration and partnerships, and by providing mentorship and educational opportunities for aspiring local artists and the public.

Rust Magic, The Grindstone Theatre, The Works International Visual Arts Society, and MINBID Art Gallery are all working alongside the festival to help strengthen Edmonton’s already established mural scene.

The Edmonton Mural Festival is a non-profit organization and relies on the support of its partners and sponsors to achieve its mission.
