The musical is based on the duo’s 2010 double album of the same name which tells the story of Imedla Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines.

It premiered in 2012 at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art before being hosted in 2013 at New York’s Public Theatre, 2014 at London’s National Theatre, and again in 2017 at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Now, the musical is set to make its Broadway debut this summer.

The 2010 album featured Florence + The Machine’s Florence Welch.
