The hardest working duo in music are back at it again.

The pair recently released a new album Crybaby, have completed season 1 of their show High School (trailer below) and have recently announced they’ve completed their first graphic novel called Junior High, which will be out in May next year … oh yeah did we mention Sara Quin is a new mom!?

While checking all the above items off their to-do list, they also completed a project that was a dream come true for the duo … covering a Smashing Pumpkins song. Tegan and Sara announcing today they’ve covered the Siamese Dream hit “Today” as part of the Amazon Original series, and you can hear a snippet in the new trailer for High School below.

“One of our absolute favorite bands growing up was The Smashing Pumpkins,” they shared on social. “We slept in the Marlborough Mall parking lot for tickets to their Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness tour in 1996 and that’s probably all we need to say for Calgarians to know that we were DIE HARD fans!”. The post was accompanied by some great throwback photos including pictures inside Sara’s teenage bedroom as proof.

We can’t imagine what they’re up to next but we can’t wait to see what it is! In the meantime, listen to a snippet of “Today” in the new trailer for High School Season 1 (series out Oct 14th).
