Foo Fighters have released a brand new song called “March of the Insane”. At first listen, you might not recognize it as a Foo tune because it’s in a thrash metal style.

The new track was released under another band name, Dream Widow. It’s been revealed that Dream Widow is the name of a fictional band in their upcoming horror-comedy film, Studio 666.

In an interview, Dave Grohl said “we come in 25 years later to record, having no idea what happened 25 years ago, and I start becoming possessed by the spirit of the guy from 25 years ago and the spirit of the house. But this song, ‘March of the Insane,’ this is their lost record. This is the record they were making before their singer murdered [them].”

Studio 666 comes out on February 25th.
