Wow -this is crazy! Edmonton comedian Lars Callieou just hit a whopping 700,000 km on his Volkswagen Jetta. The car is only 10 years old and Callieou says he bought it new from Norden Volkswagen here in Edmonton.  Lars says he travels a lot to his gigs across North America as a comedian – and generally always takes his car.

 

We chatted with Lars about how this incredible car accomplishment came to be – and all the places this crazy car has seen.

Lars said he’s hoping to get the car to 1,000,000 km and then he plans to retire it to “a showroom where it will never see snow or Alberta roads again”!  I say that’s a fair place for a car that’s been driven that long!
