NPR Music hosts a series called Tiny Desk Concerts which is a series of live performances in a small office space, behind a tiny desk. However, since March, NPR has made its Tiny Desk Concert an At Home series.

“The Tiny Desk is working from home for the foreseeable future. Introducing NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (home) concerts, bringing you performances from across the country and the world. It’s the same spirit — stripped-down sets, an intimate setting — just a different space.”

This week Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas performed, but it didn’t look exactly like they were at home. The two actually performed in a replica they made of the NPR office space, including the Tiny Desk.

For reference here’s a picture of Weezer’s Tiny Desk Concert from a year ago, compared to Billie Eilish’s home set up.

It’s a pretty impressive recreation!

The siblings performed a stripped back version of Billie Eilish’s brand new song “My Future” released just under a month ago, as well as her song “Everything I Wanted”. Between songs, she talked about her current emotions regarding quarantine.

“We don’t know how long it’s going to go. There’s barely anything that feels like there’s any hope in, but I think the future is something to be super hopeful in.”
