It was announced that due to COVID-19, Record Store Day 2020 would be postponed from April to June. Since then, the organizers had to push back Record Store Day again, to three separate dates. This means that some releases will be dropped this Saturday while others will be released in October. This year the 3 Record Store Days are August 29th, September 26th, and October 24th.

The official Record Store Day page is advising customers to check the guidelines from your local record shop before attending the event.

Blackbyrd Myoozik explained their regulations for Record Store Day 2020 in the post below. The event starts at 11 a.m. and only 4 customers are allowed in the store at a time.

The first instalment of Record Store Day is THIS SATURDAY! RSD is going be a bit different this year at Blackbyrd, with releases spread over 3 drop dates throughout the Fall instead of all seeing the shelf on one day. We have ordered as much of virtually everything as possible to do our part to get as many of the limited RSD titles into your hands on the day as possible, while we maintain our existing in-store physical distancing and sanitization protocols. Releases will be available for purchase starting at 11am on a first-come, first-served basis (ie. no holds / preorders), in-store only. Customers will be limited to “one per title per customer”, to give as many as possible a chance to bring home what they are looking for. A maximum of 4 customers will be allowed in the store at a time, with masks and hand sanitizing mandatory as you enter. If you choose to form a queue please keep your space from others outside the store and remain patient. We also ask everyone keep their visit times under 15 minutes to allow others an opportunity to browse as well. Full event details on our Facebook event listing ( https://www.facebook.com/events/499185350929177 ) as well as a list of product received so far (with much more to come) – see you Sat ! ?? In September we’ll see releases from Tegan and Sara, Meat Puppets, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and The Ramones. Then finally in October, releases will be from artists like Beck, Cheap Trick, The Rolling Stones, and even Ryuichi Sakamoto’s soundtrack for the show Black Mirror.
