Will Farrell and Rachel McAdams are hitting the big screen together once again in a new comedy from Netflix called “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. The movie is based on a real international song contest which was unfortunately canceled for this year for the first time since 1956, due to the pandemic. In the movie, Rachel McAdams and Will Farrell play two characters named Sigrit and Lars who play in an Icelandic band called “Fire Saga”.

The trailer description reads:

When aspiring musicians Lars (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.”

Initially, the release date was in May, alongside the real contest. However, since the cancellation, the movie will be released on Netflix on June 26th.
