Rezz and Grabbitz collaborate to release a new single, “Someone Else”.

Isabelle Rezazadeh, better known as Rezz, was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Niagara Falls when she was young. She worked at the Hard Rock Café as a teen but got fired after she skipped out on her weekend shifts to attend music festivals. She started DJing in her parents’ home in Canada at the age of 16, later moved to Toronto, and signed her first record deal at 21. She’s now only 25. Rezz is also a DJ and producer on Deadmau5’s label Mau5Trap, who was the first artist that inspired her to make her own music.

Nicholas Chiari, better known as Grabbitz, is from Buffalo. He’s a DJ, producer, musician, and composer. In July 2017, Rolling Stone even included him in their list of the 10 New Artists You Need To Know

According to Rezz, she built the song, sent it off to Grabbitz and once the two teamed up, the single came together right away.

“I love Grabbitz’s lyrics in this song. Not everyone gets to see who we are behind closed doors. Ultimately, that’s the message we wanted to convey with the video. Like we see from the girl in the video, who we present as on the outside doesn’t always match with who we truly are.”

The music video is dystopian themed and was filmed during the pandemic, with their iPhones. Check it out below!
