Pearl Jam shared a video of Josh Wakely explaining how they made the animated music video for “Retrograde”.

It’s one of Pearl Jam’s new songs off of their latest album Gigaton. The music video surrounds a visit to a fortuneteller and visions of the earth being affected by climate change. They even recruited activist Greta Thunberg to be in the video.

This was all put together at the beginning of self-isolation. According to Rolling Stone the director, Josh Wakely, said this about the process:

“The workflows were very weird, the video conference calls innumerable, and the sheer number of people involved — over 150 — was huge. Even though most of us have never met, I think we all feel inspired by what we accomplished together.”
