Record Store Day 2020 has been rescheduled yet again due to COVID-19.

The annual event celebrating independent record stores was originally scheduled for April 28, then June 20 and now the plan has been changed entirely. Instead of occurring on just one day, the celebration will be held with “RSD Drops”. These days will occur over three consecutive months; August 29, September 26 and October 24.

On each of these days, record stores will receive a bundle of exclusive releases. A press release stated that this plans aims to bring “revenue to the stores, as well as to the artists, labels, distribution and every other business behind the scenes making record stores work.”

An updated Record Store Day list will be released on June 1.
