Woodstock 50 finally has a venue. Only thing is, it’s two states over.

Festival organizers announced Thursday that show will indeed go on, this time at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Maryland, about an hour outside Washington, D.C. – four and a half hours outside the original venue in Bethel, NY.

Calvin Ball, an executive with Howard County, Maryland contacted festival organizers following the loss of their original permits.

“When we heard that there was an opportunity to save this festival and bring a piece of American history to our community this summer, we jumped at the chance. Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia is a jewel of Howard County and one of the top music venues in the nation. It felt like such a natural fit to host a historic festival on our storied stage.”

If the show does actually go on, it’ll take place August 16 through 18 with The Lumineers, The Raconteurs, Imagine Dragons, The Killers and more.
