HBO has unveiled the first look at their upcoming adaptation of Watchmen.

The television adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ iconic graphic novel arrives this fall. In a press release, director Damon Lindelof (Lost) said his version isn’t a remake of the story, but a “remix” of the original comics. HBO’s TV series will begin several years after the events of the graphic novel.

The show stars Regina King, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Miami Vice’s Don Johnson, and Jeremy Irons as the anti-villain Ozymandias.

Dream team Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will handle the score.
