X Ambassadors have shared a great big new song. Listen to “Boom” below.

The song will be featured in upcoming NBA prime-time games. Frontman Sam Harris admitted that the song was inspired by the toxic relationships that he had to seperate himself from saying, ““I’ve had to break off a few of them recently myself, and I was writing all these sad songs because of it. I needed to write one to give me confidence again. To turn my pain into my power.”

As a nod to the band’s keyboardist, who is legally blind, the song’s artwork features the word “boom” written in Braille.

The song is off the band’s upcoming album, which is set to be released before the end of the year. It’ll be their first effort since 2015’s VHS.
