After becoming a video game earlier this year, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 1999 track “Californication” has surpassed one billion streams on YouTube.

The song’s video was directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. The iconic video features band members in a video game, each embarking on a Californian quest.

Red Hot Chili Peppers just announced a 2023 tour that will bring them to Vancouver in March with City and Colour and King Princess.
