WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS

The town of Hawkins continues to be under attack and only a group of rag-tag teenagers, a number (11) and a killer soundtrack can save the day.

Speaking of soundtrack … thanks to Stranger Things and JACK Up The 80s, the 80s are COOL again! We’ve seen a rise in popularity of the 80s thanks to the latest season of Stranger Things on NETFLIX. Everyone from Kate Bush to Metallica are filling up the playlists of fans across the globe.

Kate Bush is making the big bucks from her 1985 track “Running Up That Hill”. Once Stranger Things season 4 was released, the song quickly hit #1 on Spotify’s Top 50 list and has held onto the pole position ever since. CBS has reported the song has generated $2.3 million in streaming royalties.

This June, Bush published a blog on her website thanking the Duffer Brothers and fans for supporting her song.

Even more recently, Metallica have become the latest recipient of a huge push thanks to Stranger Things, thanks to the inclusion of their hit ‘Master Of Puppets’, a long-time favourite of metalheads everywhere, now catching on with a new fanbase. It just hit #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart. We can’t wait to see what that mosh pit will look like.

This is nothing new though, movies and TV shows have broken artists for years. Just ask Kenny Loggins. Although, we’re enjoying seeing the resurgence of 80s classics once again seeing the light of day thanks to Eddie, Max and the gang in Hawkins.
