The group has a tradition of performing on St. Patrick’s Day, but were forced to postpone shows due to COVID-19.

Co-lead vocalist Ken Casey expressed his excitement in a statement saying, “After two years and four livestreams with no audience, we are so, so, so excited to do our first livestream in front of a live audience. I think this will give people watching at home a much better feel of what it’s like to see Dropkick Murphys in our element.”

The stream will air Thursday, March 17 at 7 PM on the band’s YouTube, Facebook, and website. It will be free to air, with the band accepting donations via text for the Claddagh Fund, the band’s organization that raises funds for underfunded charities and programs supporting the most vulnerable communities in Boston and Philadelphia.
