You have “Back To The Future” to thank for the existence of Coldplay.

During a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, frontman Chris Martin revealed which scene inspired the band to make music.

“That’s what made me want to be in a band — that scene,” he explained, referring to the part in the movie where Marty McFly performs “Johnny B Good” in 1955.

Martin revealed the secret after discussing his favourite person they’ve ever performed with.

“My No. 1, probably, is [when] Michael J. Fox came and played two of the songs from Back to the Future with us; that was really wonderful. Him coming to play ‘Johnny B. Goode’ and stuff, that was wonderful.”
