David Bowie’s estate has sold the publishing rights to his music catalog to Warner Music Group. After months of negotiations, the agreement came with a reported $250 million price tag.

The deal includes Bowie classics likes “Space Oddity” and “Heroes” and includes 26 albums, including the posthumously released 2001 album, Toy, which was released in November of 2021. Warner Music Group will now hold the publishing rights to the music, as well as oversee the copyright for commercial use.
