New Music Discovery: Olivia Vedder - 'My Father's Daughter'

Eddie Vedder’s daughter Olivia has shared a new song.

On Tuesday, the legendary rockstar’s daughter released “My Father’s Daughter”. It will be included in the soundtrack for Sean Penn’s upcoming film, Flag Day. 

The film stars Penn’s daughter Dylan Penn. It will be released on August 20.

“My Father’s Daughter” was written by Eddie Vedder and Glen Hansard. The two men provide the soundtrack with the help of Cat Power. Sean Penn says, “After this flood of gorgeous songs from Cat Power, Glen Hansard, and Eddie Vedder, we were just about to do a final mix on the film when Ed sent me Olivia singing ‘My Father’s Daughter.’ It became just the perfect cherry on top of the sundae.”
