Fans of twenty one pilots know that the band is famous for dropping hints and clues, creating a mystery or puzzle before any official announcements. In the past they’ve done this with scavenger hunts, secret code words, etc, which is why this week when the band changed all their headers/cover images to something new, fans were on the case.

For past albums, their cover image and colour scheme has usually reflected a new “era” with each new album. For example the colours for Blurryface were white, red and black, then for Trench the colours were yellow and black. This past week their header changed to a new dark orange/red colour, with a photo of the band at an empty venue.

There’s no word yet on what this means, but the common theory seems to be that a new album is on the way.

The band also recently put an end to their never-ending music video for “Level of Concern”, earning a Guinness World Record. The video lasted 178 days, which has fans trying to make sense of that specific number. Is that a stretch? We’ll have to wait and see.
