On election night, Lana Del Rey was hanging out at a Denny’s when she went live on Instagram to provide fans with an update on her new album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club.

“Chemtrails, it’s done. I love it. It’s folky & beautiful — super different from Norman [Fucking Rockwell].”

Due to vinyl production delays, the album is now set for release in March 2021. Because of the delay, Del Rey promised that a new album of Americana covers by Christmas.

“I was stressed out when I found out about the production taking 16 to 17 weeks. It is what it is, but in the mean time, I have some Patsy Cline songs I’ve been wanting to cover for a long time, and some Americana songs I’ve done with Nikki Lane.”

In addition to the announcement, Del Rey shared a cover of The Blind Boys of Alabama’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
