Peach Tree Rascals is a five piece band out of San Jose, California. However, all of the members are children of immigrants from Mexico, Philippines and Palestine. They formed the band when they were just in high school.

Their most recent claim to fame has been with “Mariposa” a song that first went viral on TikTok. It’s been used in over 1.6 million videos.
“Mariposa” means butterfly in Spanish. Like a butterfly the band wrote the song about the metamorphosis and the evolution of individuals. It expresses the emotions of letting your true self out by exposing and ridding yourself of all the insecurities.

The framework for the song was completed in only one day and was recorded in a wooden shed.

When asked what they want people to take away from their music, they said, “We just want people to feel something and to feel their best self when listening to our music. We love making feel-good / optimistic music rather than sad music. We want to create happy music and to make people see the good in life.”
