Miley Cyrus is no stranger to covering iconic rock and roll songs. She performed Temple of the Dog’s “Say Hello 2 Heaven” at Chris Cornell’s tribute concert.

She recently covered three massive rock songs, two of which were a part of her MTV Unplugged performance. First, she sang “Zombie” by The Cranberries at the Save Our Stages festival.

The Cranberries not only approved her cover, but the remaining members said that late frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan would have been “very impressed”.

Following that performance, Cyrus debuted her cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane” during her Unplugged session.

In the same performance, she covered Pearl Jam’s “Just Breathe”. The song has been one of Cyrus’ favoruite for a long time; she’s had a “just breathe” tattoo for years.

In the past, Cyrus has shown off her skills as a rock vocalist by covering Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

She has now confirmed that she is working on a Metallica covers album. It is expected to be released next year. She covered “Nothing Else Matters” while headlining Glastonbury 2019.
