On Friday (August 21st), The Killers released their new album Imploding The Mirage. This is The Killers’ sixth studio album and their follow up to 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful. It’s also the first album that they’ve written and recorded since leaving their hometown, Las Vegas.

UMusic has said, “It’s an album that also pushed the band out of their musical comfort zone, exploring new terrain and referencing the albums in their collection that filled them with a sense of romance and camaraderie in their youth.”

However recently in an interview with NME Brandon Flowers stated that they already have another new full-length album on the go.

“Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are. We’re going to release another one in about 10 months. We’ve already gone back into the studio”.

Which means we’ll be getting another album from The Killers in 2021.

“I had a lot of time on my hands. Before I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”

Brandon Flowers mentioned that this new album may even be better than the one they just released. If live music comes back, The Killers fully intend on touring next summer, with all this new material.
