Post the release of “Level of Concern”, which hit #1 on Billboards Alternative charts on May 9th, Twenty One Pilots, Tyler Joseph, says their next album could be released sooner than they expected.

During an interview with Zane Lowe, Joseph explained, “I’m writing a record right now, I’m not sure when it’ll be released, but it’s definitely going to be sooner than we were planning on releasing a record.”

Due to the pandemic, the bands festival tours across Europe, South America and the U.S have been either cancelled or postponed.

Level of Concern itself is a great example of the bands ability to write, record, produce and release a chart-topping record very quickly. Joseph explained, “For me, in my isolation, that’s where I write music and record and produce music anyway, there’s always that chance and opportunity to overthink, and because I knew that the lyrical content and just the style of the song in general was really a now-or-never type of thing, I let the simplicity of it and its pureness of the structure and of the instrumentation happen without overthinking it and just sent it.”

The band is unsure whether or not the album will be a continuation of their previous album “Trench”, which was released in October of 2018, or a stand-alone album.

Either way keep an eye out for new music from these two!
