Billie Joe Armstrong is rocking out with his family band!

On Tuesday, the Green Day frontman performed a cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now” with his songs Joey and Jakob on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The trio performed the Tommy James and the Shondells single in the rockers’ home studio. James gave his approval of the cover, telling Rolling Stone, “I am honored that Billy Joe Armstrong covered my hit of ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ – I have always been a huge fan of Green Day – met them a few years back at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – Billy did a great job and the lyrics seem to be so perfect for this moment in our history…..the quality of the recording is so good, it’s hard to believe he did it from his house. Thanks, Billy!”

Armstrong has been performing a virtual concert series he calls No Fun Mondays. He has previously covered The Bangle’s “Manic Monday” and paid tribute to Fountains of Wayne frontman Adam Schlesinger with a performance of “That Thing You Do!”.
