Billie Joe Armstrong covers The Wonders' 'That Thing You Do!'

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong paid tribute to Fountains of Wayne frontman Adam Schlesinger with a cover of The Wonders’ “That Thing You Do!”

Schlesinger, who died earlier this month of complications with COVID-19, wrote the title track for That Thing You Do! featuring a fictional sixties band called The Wonders.

Billie Joe Armstrong has been keeping busy during the quarantine by performing in a series if livestream concerts, including One World: Together At Home. Check out all the SONiC artist performances here.
