The Cure frontman Robert Smith confirmed that the band will have a new album out in 2020. Their last album 4:13 Dream was released in 2008.

Previously, Smith has said the band had three albums in the works. He now says there are only two and that the third is “just me”.

“The first one will definitely be out soon, we’re wrapping it up now and it’s going to be mixed. But until it’s complete, no one will believe me! I look forward to it coming out more than anyone, trust me!”

So at least two new albums from The Cure are in the works, and maybe even a solo Robert Smith record. Check out all the most anticipated albums of the year here.
