Lana Del Rey covers Donovan’s 1966 folk-rock hit “Season of the Witch” in Guillermo del Toro’s latest film, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

On Monday, the film’s trailer was released featuring a snippet of the song. The full version will become available once the film hits theatres on August 9.

del Toro himself is a fan of Del Rey and wanted her for the project, saying in a statement that he’s “admired Lana’s music for a while now and felt in my gut that she would run with ‘Season of the Witch’ — that she would use her alchemy to transform it. She is a great artist and has been an amazing partner with us in this adventure. It is an honour for me to have met her.”

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is based on the series of the same name by Alvin Schwartz. The film is set in 1968, two years after Donovan’s release of “Season of the Witch”.

Del Rey’s album Norman Fucking Rockwell will be released August 30.
