Frances Bean Cobain shares snippet of "very sad" song about her dad

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of the late Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has shared a clip of what she describes as a “very sad” song.

In the post, the 26-year-old wrote “be forewarned, these are clips of a very sad song but it’s raw and truthful so i wanted to share it”.

As Cobain strums her guitar, she looks directly into the camera singing lyrics that most assume are about her dad. “I know you weren’t meant to stay in this place/Sometimes I find it hard to look at/My own face”.

She finished the post by thanking fans for their encouragement and promising that new music will be out “soonish”. Last year, Cobain signed a two-album deal with Columbia, but a release date has yet to be confirmed.
