A campaign is underway to bring a world class artist to Edmonton to create a GIANT mural in the heart of Old Strathcona and Whyte Ave.

The idea is to have renowned Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel come to Edmonton and cover the outside of a 6-story condo tower beside El Cortez and Have Mercy. His work can be seen all around the world the idea of him coming to Edmonton to brighten one of most beloved area’s of our city is awesome. The mural would face north, towards the Strathcona Farmers Market. It would go on this building:

Lots of private money is already going to the project, but they do need a bit of help getting it over the finish line. The timeline is tight and the goal is large. So anyone with a passion for public art or just bringing more life into the city is asked to help if they can. The GoFundMe campaign can be seen here. For every $50 raised they are releasing a tiny bit of the final design. You can keep track of that HERE.
