This Saturday is Earth Day and to honor it, SONiC will be going unplugged.

 

From 8:30PM-9:30PM on Saturday March 24, sit back and relax to special acoustic renditions of some of your favourite songs. We’ll mix in classics from Nirvana and Bad Religion with exclusive rarities recorded in the Booster Juice Listener Lounge from Arkells, Pixies, Twenty One Pilots and more. The SONiC Acoustic Weekend is in honour of Earth Hour 2018.

Edmonton has participated in Earth Hour since it first began in 2007. Each year more than 2.2 million people turn off their lights. Earth Hour provides the opportunity to reflect on our energy consumption, something the City of Edmonton takes seriously. The city says, “it is important to make energy efficiency part of your everyday lifestyle and show you care about the planet”. The High Level Bridge lights will be turned off in honor of Earth Day.
