Meet Leanne Olson.  She’s the new artist in residence @ Edmonton Waste Management Centre, and she’s been hired to make art out of LITERAL garbage.

She plans to do this mainly by taking photos of the garbage and wants it to invoke questions, and perhaps make us reconsider how we as a society waste so much.

I got a chance to chat with her and she sounds like an amazingly sweet woman. Shoutout to her for putting up with all my “garbage” jokes:
