Supermoon

You should be able to see a really big moon tonight. In fact tonight’s ‘Supermoon’ is the biggest you’ll see in 2016. Basically the moon’s orbit around earth is not a perfect circle. So there are times when it will be further and closer. Tonight is the closest it has been in 70 years.

Stats
– 14% to 30% brighter than normal moon.

– The moon will be 226,000 miles from earth.

– This is the largest of 3 Supermoons in 2016.

– Best viewing is actually tomorrow morning at 9am BUT (with clear skies) tonight will be huge too.
