WATCH: Its Been 8 Years Since The Plane Crash That Nearly Killed Travis Barker

It was on this day back in 2008 that Travis Barker had his life change in a split second. He and his friend DJ AM were on a private plane leaving South Carolina when the landing gear blew up and the plane lost control and blew up. Barker and DJ AM were the only 2 survivors of the crash. 4 people died. Barker and DJ AM suffered severe burns all over their body. AM would die less than a year later from an overdose of drugs, including some used to help heal from that crash.

Ever since the accident Barker has refused to fly. He will bus all over North America, and for European dates he takes a boat from the US to England. Last year he released an autobiography and started to open up about the incident.
