They made a career writing hillbilly rock
Burnt out on the radio and their songs we did mock
Fronted by a man we refer to as “The Chad”
He inspired us all to be mad at our dad
But we cast unfounded insults whenever it pleased us
And we laughed at Chad’s hair ‘cause he looked just like Jesus

Then a wildfire ravaged an Alberta city
And they could have ignored us for acting so $hitty
But they came and they played and they helped us raise money
And suddenly those Nickelback jokes weren’t quite so funny
There are lives to rebuild and the road will be long
But I thank them for being Alberta Strong
